Manufacturing Technician (Day Shift)

The Manufacturing Technician provides the necessary manufacturing of products that meet or exceed customer quality specifications.

Quality Engineer

 The Quality Engineer’s basic function is to help create solutions as part of the Quality team by identifying process and product nonconformances, determining the causes and providing solutions to the problems.  Other responsibilities are determining quality improvement factors, quality standards, preparing reports, implementing methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment. The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing effective quality controls, training staff on how to use them and monitoring outcomes.   

The position reports to MO SCI Director of Quality.

Job Requirements/Duties and Responsibilities

Required: Technical degree in the field of Quality, Advanced certifications and/or skills gained from experience in manufacturing related Quality Systems.

Process Engineer

The Process Engineer’s primary purpose is to provide process design and optimization assistance, technical support, and assistance in integrating technology to improve safety and efficiencies to the various entities of MO SCI, LLC.

The position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Job Requirements/Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing
  • Designing and planning equipment layout
  • Conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production
  • Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes
  • Identify quality and production problems and opportunities and take action to ensure only product meeting the customer’s specifications is produced.
  • Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Estimating production costs
  • Technical support required in product development/support for manufacturing processes
  • Continually increases knowledge through an education program (formal or informal)

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Preferred: bachelor’s degree in engineering

Experience/knowledge: One to five years in design and implementation of manufacturing processes and scaleup along with experience in project management preferred. 

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Licenses/Certification:

  • Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred but not required.
  • Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) is preferred but not required.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is preferred but not required.

Facilities Maintenance Intern

The Facility Maintenance Intern primary purpose is to provide electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC assistance to the various entities of MO SCI LLC.  Provide electronics and maintenance assistance to the various entities.  Maintain MO SCI facilities and grounds.  Act as a “back up” for Facility Services Technician.

The position reports to MO SCI Facilities Maintenance Coordinator.  

Job Requirements/Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mathematical and communication skills (written and oral)

  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Basic understanding of AC and DC systems
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring
  • Basic understanding of OSHA tag-out/lockout procedures

  • Serve as the primary technical specialist for electrical needs and trouble shooting
  • Preparing documentation in a timely manner
  • Stocking and maintaining the tool crib
  • Preventive maintenance for equipment and document activities in the program

  • Security wiring, CCTV equipment and software maintenance
  • Rune and maintaining network wiring
  • Assist with supervise and coordinate contractors
  • Fabricate or coordinate the fabrication of high-quality equipment

Minimum Required

High School diploma or GED, willing to pursue additional training to upgrade his/her education and /or sharpen any skill deficiencies, one year of basic electrical wiring, one year of basic electronics troubleshooting (AC/DC), Basic welding and fabrication

Quality Intern

The purpose of this position is to assist the Quality Technicians, QA Coordinator, and Director of Quality Assurance with sample preparation, testing, data entry, filing and other duties as assigned.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reject raw material or product that does not meet the specific guidelines
  • Maintain adequate laboratory supplies
  • Test materials before they are stocked in the Online Store and fill Online Store orders
  • Complete Risk Analyses as required
  • Preparing and/or reviews documentation for correctness in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assisting the QA coordinator in ensuring products meet standards
  • Assisting the QA Coordinator in inventory, status, and tracking of raw materials, product and non-conforming materials.
  • Maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Maintenance of records and retention samples
