Fluorescent glass powders and spheres can be used in a wide variety of applications such as medical imaging, biomedical diagnostics and research, testing media, tracing and art glass enamels. Fluorescent glass is unique in that it can appear ordinary under visible light and then can emit vivid colors when excited by certain wavelengths.
Mo-Sci Corporation offers fluorescent glasses in a variety of colors and excitation wavelengths and emission wavelengths. Microspheres are available in sizes from approximately 10 micron up to 600 micron. Frit powders are available in size ranges as low as a few micron up to mm size. The fluorescent constituents are incorporated into the glass matrix as opposed to glass materials that have a fluorescent coating which can flake off in some cases.
