Accountant
Summary
The basic function of the Accountant position is to manage financial records, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the organization’s financial health through accurate bookkeeping, analysis, and reporting.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and internal controls
- Prepare and file tax returns and support audits as needed
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support management with financial analysis and ad hoc reports

Cost Accountant
Summary
The Cost Accountant role will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, preparing cost reports, managing inventory valuation, and supporting data-driven decision-making to improve profitability.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and prepare regular cost variance reports.
- Maintain and update standard costs; lead periodic cost roll-ups.
- Review inventory transactions and reconcile inventory accounts.
- Monitor and analyze material variances, labor costs, and overhead rates.
- Conduct margin analysis and support pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and production teams to understand cost drivers.
- Identify opportunities to improve costing processes and internal controls.
- Support audits by providing cost and inventory documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation (FIFO, standard costing, etc.).
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, etc.).

Required:

Quality Assurance Technician
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Reject raw material or product that does not meet the specific guidelines
- Maintain adequate laboratory supplies
- Test materials before they are stocked in the Online Store and fill Online Store orders
- Complete Risk Analyses as required
- Preparing and/or reviews documentation for correctness in a timely and accurate manner
- Assisting the QA coordinator in ensuring products meet standards
- Assisting the QA Coordinator in inventory, status, and tracking of raw materials, product and non-conforming materials.
- Assisting the QA Coordinator in training new employees
- Implementation and maintenance of MO SCI’s Quality System
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
- Maintenance of records and retention samples
- Ensuring Risk Analyses are completed

Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science or Chemistry
