Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Rolla, Missouri
Type: Full-Time | On-Site (Monday–Friday)
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring MO SCI products meet established quality standards. This hands-on role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and support of laboratory and quality system processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and test raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
- Reject and document non-conforming materials
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate quality documentation
- Support laboratory operations, including maintaining supplies and equipment
- Perform and document risk analyses as required
- Maintain records, retention samples, and traceability systems
- Assist with inventory tracking and material status reporting
- Support training of new employees on quality procedures
- Assist in implementation and maintenance of the Quality System
- Collaborate with QA leadership to ensure product standards are met
- Identify and help resolve quality-related issues
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Computer literacy
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- Experience in quality assurance, laboratory, or manufacturing environments

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead
Location: Rolla, Missouri
Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Position Overview
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead is responsible for supporting and administering MO SCI’s environmental, health, and safety programs. This role helps maintain a safe, accident-free workplace while ensuring compliance with applicable environmental and workplace safety regulations.
The EHS Lead develops policies and procedures, coordinates employee training, conducts workplace inspections, investigates incidents, manages waste-handling activities, and works with employees and leadership to identify and correct potential hazards.
This position reports to the MO SCI Supply Chain & Compliance Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain company EHS policies and procedures
- Promote a workplace culture centered on safety, quality, continuous improvement, and respect
- Provide employees with safety guidance in accordance with the MO SCI Safety Manual
- Plan and conduct employee safety education and training
- Track specialized training requirements and coordinate training with third-party providers
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential environmental, health, and safety hazards
- Document inspection findings, recommend corrective actions, and verify that corrective actions are completed
- Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections based on facility and regulatory requirements
- Conduct job hazard assessments and periodic contractor EHS audits
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and assist with corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain accurate training records, inspection documentation, and accident and incident reports
- Track and analyze incident data for key performance indicators and reporting
- Manage the storage and shipment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste while supporting waste-reduction efforts
- Support compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, HAZMAT, and other governmental requirements
- Manage employee quality and manufacturing training
- Communicate with company leadership, employees, vendors, contractors, and governmental agencies in an ethical and professional manner
- Identify opportunities to strengthen MO SCI’s EHS programs and overall workplace safety
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of EHS education, training, or relevant experience
- Willingness to pursue additional education and training
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and mathematical ability
- Critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work independently, establish deadlines, and follow assignments through completion
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to read, understand, and apply applicable safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to provide clear direction regarding workplace safety concerns
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Chemistry, or a related field
- More than two years of EHS education or relevant professional experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Hazardous materials training
- Experience developing and conducting employee safety training
- Experience supporting OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, or related regulatory compliance

- May be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, hazardous materials, and chemicals
- Manufacturing noise levels may range from moderate to high
- Regularly required to communicate, sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, and use the hands, wrists, and fingers
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 55 pounds
- Must possess the sensory and physical abilities necessary to safely perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
