Quality Engineer

Summary

The Quality Engineer’s basic function is to help create solutions as part of the Quality team by identifying process and product nonconformances, determining the causes, and providing solutions to the problems. Other responsibilities are determining quality improvement factors, quality standards, preparing reports, and implementing methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment. The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing effective quality controls, training staff on how to use them, and monitoring outcomes.   

The position reports to MO SCI Director of Quality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establish clear rules for the production of products, follow through with enforcing them, and discover factors that prevent the production team from achieving consistency
  • Oversee documentation for initial quality standards and the actual quality of products during production
  • Perform internal and external audits
  • Continually increase knowledge through formal and informal education
  • Identify problems and opportunities relating to marketing and sales

Quality Assurance Technician

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reject raw material or product that does not meet the specific guidelines
  • Maintain adequate laboratory supplies
  • Test materials before they are shipped.
  • Complete Risk Analyses as required
  • Prepare and/or review documentation for correctness in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist the QA coordinator in ensuring products meet standards
  • Assist the QA Coordinator in inventory, status, and tracking of raw materials, product, and non-conforming materials.
  • Assist the QA Coordinator in training new employees
  • Implement and maintain MO SCI’s Quality System
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Maintain records and retention samples
  • Ensure Risk Analyses are completed
Qualifications
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science or Chemistry
  • Regardless of education or work experience, the position incumbent must be willing to pursue additional training or upgrade their education and/or sharpen skill deficiencies

Working Conditions
  • Work will be done mostly in a climate-controlled office/lab environment with frequent trips to the manufacturing environment, where not all areas are climate-controlled.

  • May occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts as well as hazardous materials/chemicals, and potentially hazardous materials. The noise level in the factory environment could be moderate to high.
  • May require from time to time to attend various training sessions or seminars carried out by government agencies, vendors, etc., that could entail air travel and overnight accommodation.

Facility Maintenance Coordinator

Summary

 The Facility Maintenance Coordinator’s basic function is to provide electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC assistance to the various entities of MO SCI, LLC., maintain MO SCI facilities and grounds, and help other areas as needed.  The Facility Maintenance Coordinator will also be responsible for managing other employees on the facilities team. 

The position reports to MO SCI Chief Operations Officer.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate electrical needs of the company
  • Perform electronics troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
  • Coordinate stocking and maintain the tool crib
  • Maintain preventive maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain the facility and grounds
  • Maintain security wiring and network wiring
  • Fabricate or coordinate the fabrication of high-quality equipment
  • Identify problems and opportunities with quality and production, ensuring only products meeting customer’s specifications are produced
  • Prioritize assigned tasks
  • Prepare relevant documents in a timely manner
Education and Experience Requirements

Required: A High School Diploma or G.E.D. Willing to pursue additional training to upgrade their education and/or sharpen skill deficiencies. One to two years of electrical wiring, electronics troubleshooting (AC/DC), welding and fabrication.

Preferred:  Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) and/or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) certifications

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or GED. Must be willing to pursue additional training to upgrade his/her education and /or sharpen any skill deficiencies. One year of experience with basic electrical wiring, basic electronics troubleshooting (AC/DC), basic welding, and fabrication.
